Bhalchander Vishwanath, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
|
Bhalchander started putting together United Prosperity from mid 2007. He has 14 years experience in information technology, insurance and financial services spanning multiple business functions including software development, marketing, sales, and operations in the US and India. He has worked with Infosys, MphasiS, Microsoft, Wipro and Tata Motors. He received a B.Tech from IIT-Bombay and an MBA from IIM-Bangalore.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking in the trails of Contra Costa County with his wife, Shubha.

Ashok Parameswaran, Chief Financial Officer
|
Ashok has 15 years' experience in investment management and policy analysis focusing on emerging markets. In the investment industry, Ashok worked for Fidelity Investments and various hedge funds analyzing emerging market credit risk, equities, and foreign exchange. He received a BA from Duke University and an MPP from Harvard University.

Chiradeep Vittal, Chief Technology Officer
|
Chiradeep has 13 years’ experience in building complex software systems ranging from network operating systems to enterprise software. Chiradeep is a veteran of several startups and has held architectural roles in Solidcore Systems, Matisse Networks, Ciena Corporation and Nortel Networks.
He received a B.Tech from IIT-Bombay and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Alberta.

Ramaswamy Iyer, Managing Director - International
|
Ramaswamy has over 14 years experience in Financial Services and Information Technology with extensive cross-functional management experience within start-up, established and rapid change environments. He has worked with TCS, MphasiS, CRISIL, Deutsche Bank, Commtrendz Risk Management Services, and Brics Commodities. He received a B.Tech. from IIT-Bombay and an MBA from IIM-Lucknow. Ramaswamy is based in Mumbai, India and is an avid traveler ever ready to pick up his backpack and hit the road.

Amar Singh
|
Amar has been involved in the United Prosperity development since its inception. Amar was the development lead and developed several modules himself. He has close to seven years of experience and he has worked on a range of technologies such as – Java, Ruby on Rails and VBA (a dialect of Visual Basic). Amar works for Cognizant and he previously worked for Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and Alcatel-Lucent.
He did his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delhi, India and followed it up with an MBA from IIM-Lucknow, India and an MS in Software Systems from the University of British Columbia, Canada. When he is not trying to install the A-Z of Open Source tools or trying to figure out financial concepts, he enjoys learning how to play the guitar, listening to rock, and experimenting with pasta dishes.

AVHSS Ramkumar
|
Ram has been involved in the United Prosperity development project since its inception. He has done development of various modules and took the lead in resolving the subtle aspects of PayPal integration.
He has close to five years of experience in the IT industry. He has developed in and led projects involving various Open Source technologies like PHP, Ruby on Rails, and Java. Before joining Cognizant, he was responsible for building a website for Sify and prior to that, Ram had developed web based tools in SlashSupport.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computer Applications from the University of Madras, India. He enjoys reading, watching cartoons and playing cricket.

Eileen Engelman
|
Eileen has over 15 years experience as a visual interface designer in the technology, commerce and consumer arenas. Eileen has worked with AT&T, Bell Labs, and Oracle as well as several startups. Eileen has worked with a variety of clients including CNN, UPS, Visa, Scholastic, Time/Warner and Solidcore Systems. She received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
Eileen is an avid hiker, has just started mountain-biking and, finally, has discovered cooking!

John Shaikes Cyriac
|
John has left an indelible mark on United Prosperity - he created the organization’s logo. He also provided design inputs for the United Prosperity Screens.
He is part of the design team at Cognizant, and he has 10 years experience in web design and 3 years of experience in advertisement design. He did his BFA from the Raja Ravi Varma Institute of fine arts, Kerala, India.
John gets most of his visual and conceptual design ideas from nature. He deeply believes in the ‘work hard, party harder’ ethic.

Mohammed Azeemulla
|
Azeem has been instrumental in designing the look and feel of the screens of the United Prosperity website.
He has been part of the design team at Cognizant, focusing on designing prototype sites with great visual appeal for clients. He enjoys exploring rich internet applications and technologies that could help in coming up with better site prototypes.
Azeem has done his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Yellamma Dasappa Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Ramya Palanisamy
|
Ramya has been instrumental in the development of some of the core modules including the shopping cart module. She has more than four years of experience in Web application development and maintenance using Open Source technologies. She has been mainly working on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), Python and Ruby on Rails, various Open Source content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce applications.
Before joining Cognizant she was a software developer at Sify. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Madras, India. She loves listening to Tamil music and also tries her hand at singing Tamil songs.

Sivakumar Kalyanaraman

Siva got involved in the United Prosperity project at its later stages. He is currently the development lead providing technical guidance to the development team. He has eight years of experience and he has worked on a range of technologies such as - Java, C/C++ and Perl / PHP. He has worked on performance engineering projects involving a variety of technologies/tools including J2EE, Oracle, Weblogic, WebSphere, Apahce, MySQL. Siva started his career with Cognizant in 2000.
He did his Bachelors in Physics from Bharathiar University, India and Master of Computer Applications from Anna University, India. Siva's interests include photography and experiments with his 3 SLR cameras.

Srikanth Gullapalli
|
Srikanth got involved in the United Prosperity project at its later stages. He has been actively involved in WordPress integration and making refinements to the system.
He started his career with Cognizant and has close to two years of development experience. He has worked on technologies such as – Java, J2EE, STRUTS and Ruby on Rails.
Srikanth is a Computer Science Engineer from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India. Beyond being a dedicated Software professional, Srikanth enjoys spending time with his parents and brother, travelling, watching films and forwarding jokes to his friends.

As a QA analyst Supraja has been involved in preparing test cases, test scenarios and in functional and acceptance testing.
Supraja has 4 years of working experience in software and has worked on Retail, HRMS and Microfinance applications. She has previously worked with Tomax India Software Pvt Ltd, Ramco Systems and Domex e-Data Pvt Ltd.
She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from University of Madras, India and Master of Business Administration specialization in Human resources from Indira Gandhi Open University. She enjoys listening to music, watching movies, playing basket ball and driving.

Suriya Prabha

Suriya Prabha is one of the earliest United Prosperity team members. She has played the role of Business and Quality Assurance Analyst. During initial days, she was involved in requirements gathering, framing business rules and creating user interface specifications for the entire system. As a quality assurance analyst, she has been involved in preparing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and performing functional and acceptance testing of the application.
Suriya Prabha has more than 5 years of diverse experience in the software industry and has worked with Ramco Systems and Domex e-Data Pvt. Ltd previously.
She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from University of Madras, India.
Besides software, she enjoys reading books, traveling and trying new things with her culinary skills.

Venkata Vinay Kumar Madugula

Vinay joined the United Prosperity development project a few months after its inception and he has been involved in development of various modules.
He started his career with Cognizant and has been with Cognizant for three years. He has worked on various Open Source technologies including Ruby on Rails, PHP and also Java. He has also acquired expertise in performing security analysis of applications.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, and a Master's degree in Mathematics from IIT Madras, India. Away from work, he enjoys playing cricket, working on Math problems and browsing through books about how the Human brain works.

Alexandra Redwine is an associate in O’Melveny's San Francisco office and a member of the Firm’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring Practices. Her practice concentrates on the representation of financial institutions, private equity sponsors and commercial borrowers in secured and unsecured senior and mezzanine debt financing transactions, including restructurings and workouts. Alexandra also represents debtors and creditors in bankruptcy reorganizations and related proceedings.

Bing Bai is an associate in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Transactions Department. She has a BLL from Liaoning University, an LLM from Harvard University and a European LLM from the University of Oxford. Bing is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Julie A. Sherman is an associate in Hanson Bridgett's Public Agency Section where she assists the firm's Public Agency clients with transactional matters. She is also a member of the firm's Pro Bono and Diversity Committees. Julie received a BA from The State University of New York at Buffalo and a JD from Berkeley Law. She is licensed to practice in California.

Lawrence Browning is an associate in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office and a member of the Investment Funds and Securitization Practice. His primary focus is fund formation. Larry has represented a variety of investment advisers and sponsors with respect to the structuring and formation of domestic and offshore closed- and open-end investment funds, including with respect to the private placement of their securities and legal compliance with, or exemption under, the rules of the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, U.S. Investment Company Act of 1940 (specifically, Sections 3(c)(1) and 3(c)(7)) and the U.S. Investment Advisers Act. In addition, Larry has represented institutional investors with regard to significant investments in alternative investment vehicles.

Svetlana Attestatova

Svetlana Attestatova is an associate in O'Melveny's San Francisco office and a member of the Firm’s Corporate Finance Practice. She authored the article “The Bonds of Joint Tax Liability Should Not Be Stronger Than Marriage: Congressional Intent Behind §6015(c) Separation of Liability Relief,” 78 Wash. L. Rev. 831 (2003). She also speaks fluent Russian.
