How it all begins
|
Step 0: After screening the entrepreneur our microfinance partner uploads the profiles of the entrepreneurs. In most cases the microfinance partner will disburse the loan from their working capital as they would like the entrepreneur to get started on growing their business.

Now you come in
|
Step 1: Browse the profiles of the entrepreneurs on our website. Choose whom you would like to support, and guarantee a loan through PayPal.

Step 2: United Prosperity consolidates the guarantees on multiple loans for our microfinance partner and issues a guarantee to the bank. The funds are deposited as collateral with the bank.
|
|
Step 3: Based on United Prosperity’s guarantee, the bank issues a loan that is greater than the total guarantee amount.
If the loan to the entrepreneur is already disbursed, then the microfinance institution replenishes its working capital. Otherwise the loan is disbursed to the entrepreneur.

Step 4: The entrepreneurs use the loan to grow or start their businesses. They gradually start repaying their loans. Repayment statistics and progress updates are available to you through postings on the entrepreneur’s profile on our website and through RSS feeds.

Step 5: Once the entire loan is repaid to the bank, United Prosperity’s guarantee to the bank gets freed up. Then, the amount you guaranteed is freed up, and you can choose to support another entrepreneur, or withdraw the amount to your PayPal account.
