It allows someone less well off than myself to escape from poverty, without actually having to accept my charity, as they just receive a loan which they have to pay back to a finance organisation, through money they make from their own hard work. I see this as a very effective way of helping others without them losing their dignity, without creating unhealthy dependancies and expectations.
