Sandya Kaur sitting first from the right has a small cloths store. She wants to expand her business and invest capital in her shop and hence has applied for a micro-loan. Her husband also helps her in this business. She has four members in her family including one son and one daughter who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs3000/-(USD66). Anita Devi sitting first from the left has a tailoring business at her house. She has many customers, but is unable to serve them adequately. She wants to buy two sewing machines and hire one person. Her husband also helps her in her work. She has applied for a micro-loan for her tailoring business. She has four members in her family including one son and one daughter who attend school. Her monthly income is Rs3000/-(USD66). Munia Devi sitting second from the left also has a tailoring business. She has earned a good reputation in her area due to her good work. She has a lot of customers, who she is unable to serve effectively, even though her husband helps her in the work. She wants to buy two sewing machines and hire two people to serve customers more smoothly. As a result, she has applied for a micro loan. She has five members in her family including one daughter and two sons who attend school. Her monthly income is Rs3000/-(USD66). These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on the behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent.
